This is not a review - sorry - but a request. It would be great if you would offer it as an audio book as well. I learn so much in the car commuting to work and I'd love to buy this book as mp3's!

3 and a half - Diet is FANTASTIC - Writing is OK November 3, 2007

This is not a rating on the diet itself. Diet gets 5STARS. It's totally changed my eating habits. It's evened out my blood sugar levels and my hunger! It took me only one week to see results.The diet is recommended to anyone who has feels like they can't lose weight and not sure what they're doing wrong.

It's the writing that's not so great. I like Adams' his articles. They're always informed and succinct...but not here! It's all haphazard. You finish the book not sure what's what. e.g. you don't learn how many protein gms p/100gms make the meal 'protein based'.
There=few recipes in there, but goodluck if you can find them again.
There are also irrelevant things in the book. e.g. talking about your stance on perfumes in a DIET book just doesn't make sense.

The book needs tight editing. Also additional pages that give you more examples of carb, protein, and fat meals. It needs to clarify in  table what 'free foods' are. Also a sample week on the diet and a page of recipes.

Despite reading a "review" that talked about how mixed up the book was, I ordered  it and read it with a yellow legal pad, covering about 4-5 pages with personal notations.  That wasn't enough! But the book is small enough to refer back to often, which I did, and continue to do when I encounter different thoughts about where I am in the refining of the diet "cycle"!  IT DEFINITELY WORKS and has changed my food focus entirely.  As an overweight vegan, I had to make a conscious decision to add more protein to my food intake.  I chose free range eggs, canned water pack chicken and tuna plus the rice protein powder and the baked tofu to give the eating style a chance to perform, and it has!  I could sense bodily changes by NOON of the FIRST DAY of eating this way as my 73 YO metabolism began to shift!  I have lost 5 lbs in the first 17 days, constantly eating, and carrying out all my normal activities and THEN SOME!  This FTD way of eating is truly amazing!
